General Summary

To perform the maintenance activities of RM Mill in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant down time and increase the mill availability & consumption of spares with cost consciousness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Optimize Production: • To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipment’s in order to optimize production & minimize plant down time for maintenance related development works Prompt Trouble Shooting: • Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipment’s and provide the assistance to find out the root cause for corrective action maintenance related development works Providing Solutions: • Responsible for attending mechanical maintenance problems during breakdowns in the RM Plant. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the mill in order to plan & rectify the same. Audit and Investigation: • Inspection of equipment’s to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in maintenance related development works. Maintenance Support: • To assist and help Superiors in Mechanical Maintenance (RM ) in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance of the RM for uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments. Implementing Standards: • Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in the RM Plant. Policies and Procedures Management: • To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures applicable to maintenance related development. Supervision:To lead a group of Technician / Fitter (instruction and guidance to Technician / Fitter) and participate in maintenance related development works

Strong problem solving skills • Ability to handle multiple, diverse and changing responsibilities and following complex instructions • Strong interpersonal skills • Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated with ability to work independently • Communication- Report writing and verbal English and ArabicTechnical knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance of RM • Knowledge & Skill of Trouble Shooting of RM . • Understanding of engineering drawings and Hydraulic circuits • Works with hand tools, measuring tools, portable tools and tackles • Fluency in spoken and written English language. • Knowledge of rigging and slinging • Basic computer literacy

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Diploma in Engineering or Degree

Any preferred professional training

Professional Experience (Must haves)

5-6 Years as a Technician / Fitter in Steel Plant • 7-8 years experience in Mechanical maintenance of Steel Plant as a Sr. Technician / Mechanic

Ensure ‘Health, Safety and Environment’ with Zero accidents incurred by personnel • ‘Optimization and minimum’ of cost for mechanical repairs, maintenance and downtime • Ensure availability of RM through ‘scheduling and preparing’ plant equipment’s • ‘Initiate corrective action’ for prompt clarification, resolutions and results of problems • ‘Rectification of reviewed equipment’ with smooth transition and production
