General Summary

Plan, Monitor, and work with functional analysts in designing and implementing the solution. The role includes ensuring continuous availability of the business applications and optimal utilization of the business systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement long & Short-term strategy to cater business requirement related to IT applications
  • Deliver solutions within agreed timelines in-line with SLA
  • Study and analyze new technology solutions available and their applicability for the business
  • Prepare Scope of the solution, RFP’s and technical evaluation and discuss with Business Applications Manager for approval
  • Ensuring data security
  • Application access management
  • Audit software integrations with third party systems and ensure compliance to data integrity and security
  • Document and Review department policies and procedures
  • Lead new system implementation or enhancement project
  • Keep Business Applications Manager informed thru regular updates on any alteration requirements in the IT solutions
  • Conduct regular discussion with users to evaluate and ensure effectiveness of the IT solutions – in case of problems prepare and implement the plan improve utilization and effectiveness of the IT Solutions.
  • Work on continuous improvement in the users experience and satisfactions
  • Benchmarking ES IT solutions with similar industries
  • Monitor day to day activities of the Application function team for better and timely support to the users

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(Contd)

  • Prepare Business Justification and Return on Investment proposal to support business in taking informed decisions
  • Discuss & Negotiate solutions with vendors
  • Evaluate and administer all Solutions and Solution upgrades
  • Work on the infrastructure team to ensure 24x7 availability of the application’s with optimal performance
  • Regular formal and informal discussion with business process owner’s to understand IT solutions effectiveness and changing or new solution requirements
  • Provides training and guidance to the team members
  • Monitor/Manage incidents and problems to ensure minimum disruption for the business
  • Prepare and implement application maintenance & testing strategy
  • Implement and monitor change management process for applications
  • Prepare MIS report for Management
  • Support Business Applications manager in delivering departmental KPI effectively
  • Interact with the uses, department heads and other subject matter experts to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions.
  • Manage team of function analysts and support them in delivering the task/projects within agreed timeline and quality
  • Must be good team player, pro-active, willing to take the ownership/responsibility, result oriented, good analytical and communication skills.
  • Should be able to independently interact/support with business users across all levels and resolve the issues.
  • Monitor the background jobs and take corrective actions as required.
  • Proactive monitoring of the custom programs and other key transactions.
  • Support during system upgrade OR Upgrade of any other interfaces.
  • Comply with Incident Management and change management procedures.
  • Document the custom/standard program issues/bugs found/reported by end users and fix the issues, while complying with change management procedure.
  • Perform Unit, integration and regression testing of the required modules/business processes as deemed and comply the documentation as per the Change Management procedure.
  • Support during month end, quarter end and year end activities.
  • Support the business teams to extract and circulate the required business transactions/reports and follow-up with them for the needful from their side.
  • Monitor the roles and authorizations related to PM modules in coordination with other modules.
  • To incorporate the changes to the configurations, customizations and changes to the custom programs as per the DOA, internal/external audit recommendations and observations.
  • To address and close the non-compliances reported from internal & external audit and to upkeep the system as per compliance.
  • Conflict resolution within team

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities required

Asset Lifecycle Management:

  • Should be certified in the SAP - PM Module 
  • 8 years experience in SAP-PM Module with   a minimum of 2 full cycle implementations.
  • Solid Implementation knowledge of Asset Lifecycle management
  • Experience in support projects is a must.
  • Should have the ability and experience in designing and configuring of PM module. 
  • Should have good understanding of the Asset Lifecycle Management processes.
  • Should have experience in delivering and supporting the Asset Lifecycle Management and relevant master data management processes through SAP.
  • Should be able to support the existing business processes mapped in SAP PM Module Integrated with other modules in SAP system and enhance, upgrade, and change the system as per the business requirements.
  • Post go-live support experience of minimum 5 years (Preferably in GCC/MENA region), with direct interaction with the business stakeholders during/after implementation.
  • Should have a basic understanding of FI, SD, MM, WM & PP Modules.
  •  

Should have in depth knowledge on the below:

  • Management of the Technical Objects
  • Maintenance Engineering and Work Management processes
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Process 
  • Knowledge if Conditioning Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance techniques
  • Designing SAP solutions in the PM modules of ECC 6
  • SAP Master Data Governance
  • Master Data Management.
  • Authorizations and role management.
  • Internal/External Audit and corporate governance.
     

Quality Management:

  • Should be certified in the SAP – Quality Management Module 
  • 5 years experience in SAP-QM Module with a minimum of 1 full cycle implementation.
  • Experience in support projects is a must.
  • Should have the ability and experience in designing and configuring of QM module. 
  • Should have good understanding of the Quality Management processes.
  • Should have experience in delivering and supporting the Quality Management and relevant master data management processes through SAP.
  • Should be able to support the existing business processes mapped in SAP QM Module Integrated with other modules in SAP system and enhance, upgrade, and change the system as per the business requirements.
  • Post go-live support experience of minimum 5 years (Preferably in GCC/MENA region), with direct interaction with the business stakeholders during/after implementation.

Should have in depth knowledge on:

  • Management of the required Master Data for the Quality Processes 
  • Configuration and Management of Quality Planning and Inspection Processes
  • Complete through knowledge of the Quality Control Processes of Finished Goods
  • Complete through knowledge of the Quality Control Processes of incoming Goods
  • Configuring and Maintaining the Quality Certificates in the system
  • Ability to understand and manage the enhancements done in the standard systems
  • Authorizations and role management.
  • Internal/External Audit and corporate governance.

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Bacheloer in Degree

Any preferred professional training

SAP Certified

Professional Experience (Must haves)

SAP implementation experience at least 2 end-to-end implementation · Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP out of that 5 years should be in a manufacturing company preferably steel manufacturing · Minimum 3 years experience in supervisory role leading the Application support team · Hands-on experience in configuration and trouble-shooting the application · Project management experience
